WE MADE IT!! WE CROSSED SOUTH AMERICA
FROM THE SOUTH TO THE NORTH!!
I took us 5 months from The End of the World in Argentina to Cartagena on the North of Colombia. We hitchhiked or took public transport, we walked, biked or went by boat. We did everything to make our trip cheap = possible and to make our dream come true! After almost half a year in South America we finally learnt a bit how to travel - without a plan, car or limited time! We happily lived the present day by day and experienced a lof of amazing things! A big thank you goes to all the nice people we met on the way and especially to T4E members because travelling with other people for a long time is extremely hard! We just crossed from Colombia to Panama by several boats, we run out of money there and stayed with indigenous Kuna people. We got completely wasted on "Menstruation Party" that is organized when a village girl becomes a woman :-D It was quite wild so you can look forward to our new crazy stories from wild Central America! We continue in Caribbean!! Thanks a lot for all your support! We hope we make you smile at least sometimes and make your office job easier ;-) Thank you!!! TEAM T4E

NEW VIDEO: Bolivie - Life in the heighs
Check out our new video from Bolivia! If you cross to Bolivia from Chile you will see a huge difference between the countries from the first moment. On the streets you will meet a lot of traditionally dressed women called Cholitas because Bolivia still keps its rich culture a lot. There are not many private cars which makes hitchhiking almost impossible. Those who stop will probably charge you anyway. A good thing is that the prices in Bolivia are a way lower than in Chile or Argentina! We had to get used to the heights because some of the cities are situated in about 4000 metres above sea level! Bolivian people seemed to us a bit more reserved but the sceneries in the country are just beautiful!! Enjoy the video and get a picture of amazing Bolivian culture!

A trip to the AMAZON RAINFOREST in PERU
We met 2 Peruvian brothers that run a new business and start to take first people to beautiful tourist free part of the jungle. We spent with them 3 amazing days, we sailed the Amazon River, we got a lot of mosquito bites, we got soaked, we went fishing piranhas, we hiked at night to see tarantulas and caymans, we watched sloth, pink dolphins and other wildlife. We also visited a small community living in the jungle. The kids prepared dance performance to welcome us. At the end we joined them to dance and all village applauded our dancing skills :-D Amazing experience!!

SHAMAN RITUALS in Amazon jungle
We survived Amazon jungle and all shaman rituals included PURGA ceremony (jungle tobacco), AYAHUASCA ceremony (Liana of the Dead) and KAMBO ceremony when they burned our shoulders to put frog poison into our bodies. After all spiritual activities we feel like we are reborn! Our bodies are clean, our minds are free and our iminity system was rebooted after the frog:-) PERU is an amazing country and we are sure we will be back one day! Again we are a bit closer to Caribbean!! Follow our next adventure in ECUADOR !

At the end we enjoyed the surroundings of the little town of Yangshuo so much that we didn’t want to leave. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay any longer because we have already bought our train tickets for the next day. We were told to buy the tickets in advance because they are usually sold out. The high-speed train was 3 times more expensive than “hard-sleeper“ train but we had many kilometers ahead to get to Beijing. That’s why we decided to divide that long journey Read more...

The first evening in Yángshuò we met the owner of our hostel and we were asking him where to go next days to escape the crowds of tourists. The man was very kind and he also spoke English very well. „Finally someone will help us!“ We were trying to get as much information as possible. He showed us where to rent a bike and that we shouldn’t miss bamboo rafting on the Lí River. The nature in this area around the river should be amazing. He recommended us to take a boat Read more...

Even though we enjoyed Guilin a lot, especially because of the cheap food which could be found on every corner, we had to continue further. One of the most beautiful sceneries of China was waiting for us. It was the area of round top hills surrounding the town of Yángshuò which is situated by the river Lí. For a while we were thinking of going from Guilin to Yángshuò by boat or bamboo raft but with regard to high prices we rather chose local bus. Read more...

One of the symbols of China are incredible Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces which are over centuries cultivated by local villagers in hard mountain terrain in South China province called Guanxi. We were curious how they are doing there and so we decided to make a trip to Longji. On our map it looked that the terraces are very close to Guilin. However when we asked how to get there in our hostel we found out it wouldn’t be that easy. Only one way by local transport Read more...

After our bike trip in Guilin and its surroundings the other day we decided to explore the town by foot. At first we found local market with many street vendors. We bought salty pancake and we also wanted to buy sweet rice milk. The pancake was strange and little bit spicy but it was eatable. However we apparently didn’t choose the right rice flavor because we got overcooked salty rice in some chicken broth. We ate that delicious breakfast Read more...

„Wake up! Get ready to get off“ said a steward in the train poking us already at 5 a.m. to wake us up. We thought it was too early because the arrival to Guilin was still in one hour and so we fell asleep again. „Come on guys! Get up!” The steward was back in half an hour poking us a little bit stronger. :-) She looked a bit nervous as if it was her who was getting off. We didn’t want to provoke her anymore and we started to pack our stuff. Read more...

Right after our arrival to Guilin we rented bikes and we went to explore surrounding Chinese villages. It started to be interesting already in the bike rental because nobody spoke English there. We only had to use body language. We arranged everything well after all and our first bike trip in China could start. The town was a little bit bigger than we expected. It was rather typical Chinese village with almost one million inhabitants. On big crossroads there were Read more...

In the afternoon we packed our stuff and we took a metro to Shenzhen railway station which is the gate to People’s Republic of China. Hong Kong is a special administrative zone with its own system and currency - Hong Kong dollar. At the railway station we had to pass through many security procedures. After security procedure in Hong Kong we also had to pass Chinese visa and passport control. We have already had our Chinese visa from Prague. Read more...

After our arrival to Hong Kong we were impressed by surrounding green hills that were rising above the city. There is a hill called Victoria Peak which is situated in Hong Kong Island. This peak is very touristic because it is situated in the heart of the city. If you go a bit further from the crowds you will be rewarded by nice path around another close hill. We were quite surprised that after a few minutes of walking there were no people and we could admire beautiful view Read more...

After extremely short night that we spent in the plane from Dubai they woke us up at 3 a.m. with the breakfast because the landing time in Hong Kong was already at 4:45 a.m. We didn’t sleep too much at the airport in Dubai neither and after all those transfers we didn’t arrive to Hong Kong very fresh. We picked up our baggage and it again surprised us how big and heavy it was. All the stuff for 2 years of traveling including light laptop, camera and some water is already Read more...
Instead of everyday rush at work we prepared our backpacks and got on a plane. This is how our trip „Break Free from the Office and Travel the Word“ started. Our first destination before one month trip to China and Taiwan was a short stop in Dubai. We arrived to Dubai at midnight and we slightly postponed the next flight to have one day to visit this modern city of business. This stopover was a great opportunity to visit another place which wasn’t originally in our plan. Read more...
